The Storm King Art Center and Sculpture Garden is an amazing outdoor museum in New Windsor, NY located at the heart of the picturesque lower Hudson River Valley. It consists of works from some of the most prestigious modern sculptors such as David Smith, Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Maya Lin, Louise Nevelson and Isamu Noguchi situated throughout breathtaking landscapes. Storm King Art Center’s distinguished collection comprises more than 100 sculptures by some of the most acclaimed artists of our era. Works at Storm King encompass the years from post-World War II to the present and include gifts, acquisitions, specially commissioned site-specific works, and loans. While the focus of the collection has been on large-scale abstract sculpture, much of it in steel, it also includes figurative work and sculptures in stone, earth, and other materials. A walking docent tour is included in the trip. Please wear comfortable shoes. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The bus leaves the library lot at 8:00 am and leaves the Garden at 3:30 pm.
